In order to ensure punctuality in the government hospitals,the District Development Commissioner,Rajouri,Mohammad Aijaz Asad today paid asurprise visit to Sub- District Hospital Sunderbani.

The inspections started with the Sub division Hospitalsunderbani where District Development Commissioner Rajouri was seen standing inqueue as commoner to avail the registration slip for OPD.Later on the staffmembers  of the Hospital and somepatients/attendants noticed him standing in a queue.DDC said the main purposeof standing in a queue is to get the first hand appraisal of the problems beingfaced by the patients while availing the registration slips for OPD. DDC on spotinstructed the health authorities to open two more registration counters forfacilitating the patients.

 He reviewed thefacilities of several units of the hospital including emergency ward,laboratoryand x-ray unit, registration counter and OPD rooms. While checking theattendance,one doctor namely Dr.Anil Pansotra who was found unauthorizedly absentfrom duty has been placed under suspension with immediate effect. DDC also  expressed dismay over the poor administrativecontrol of Block Medical officer sunderbani over his subordinates.Later DDCkept the salary of Block Medical officer Rajouri withheld due to non preparationof the duty roster.

Meanwhile DDC also interacted with the patients to takestock of the facilities being provided to them.He urged upon the hospitaladministration to work with dedication while delivering quality healthcarefacilities to the common masses.He also asked them to behave with the patientsin a sympathetic manner so that they feel comfortable while receivingtreatment.

Later DDC Rajouri made a surprise visit to other governmentinstitutions including Government Boys Higher Secondary School where DDCinteracted with the students and inspected the academic blocks.The DDC alsotaught Mathematics to the 10th class students.The DDC was accompanied by theADC sunderbani,Vinod kumar, Principal Om Prakash Sharma and other staffmembers.The District Development Commissioner showed overall satisfaction overthe functioning of the school and advised the teachers that thrust should begiven on the clearance of concepts.He asked them to do their duties with utmostdedication.

The DDC made it clear that no laxity in connection withthe  duties shall be tolerated and strictaction as per rules shall be initiated against the non performing andnon-serious  employees.He also asked themto maintain the duty roster strictly.
